About Riptide Boat Repair
Riptide Boat Repair is a locally owned marine repair shop in New Bern, NC, specializing in fiberglass repair, gelcoat repair, hull repair, oxidation removal, boat detailing, and mobile boat repair. We serve boat owners throughout New Bern, Havelock, Craven County, Pamlico County, and the surrounding coastal communities of Eastern North Carolina.
How Riptide Got Started
Riptide Boat Repair started as a mobile-only operation — just a truck, tools, and 15+ years of hands-on fiberglass and gelcoat experience. We built our reputation one repair at a time, showing up at marinas, docks, and driveways and doing the work right.
As word spread and demand grew, we opened a dedicated repair shop in New Bern at 115 N First Ave. Today we offer both mobile and in-shop service, giving boat owners the flexibility to choose what works best for their situation. The mobile roots never left — we still come to you when the repair allows it.
